 Years of travel and study created a passion for collecting the finest vintage and antique petit point purses from France and Austria; scenic and figural beaded bags from around the world; and antique sterling silver purse frames and belt buckles of the finest workmanship from many countries. A love of jade and fine antique laces added another dimension to a love of all things rare and beautiful. Intrigued by the exquisite workmanship of the antique petitpoint and beaded bags; and sterling silver purse frames and belt buckles, Sharon traveled to Europe to pursue adding custom designs to her collection of antique silver purse frames. She found artisans in Europe capable of patternmaking from her designs, and creating highest quality exotic skin and fine leather bags to attach to the antique sterling silver purse frames and belts for the buckles. Sharon was fortunate to discover two of the few remaining master silver artisans capable of creating limited editions in sterling silver of the antique silver frames. To these frames were added bodies of her design in fine leathers, ostrich, lizard, crocodile, alligator, python and other exotic reptile skins, as well as luxurious fabrics. The result was custom one-of-a-kind creations sold at exclusive shops in the United States and Europe, as well as at selected Neiman-Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue stores. These elegant adornments are now also available through this website. In her California studio, Sharon incorporates her collection of antique carved jade pendants, together with vintage and antique beads, and new beads of all kinds, to create her one-of-a-kind and limited edition necklaces, bracelets, and ankle ornaments of jade, amber, pearl and semi-precious gemstones with 14K gold, sterling silver and vermeil clasps and toggle closures. Also offered are other elegant women's accessories and adornments; handmade place cards and table cards for weddings; bridesmaid gifts and wedding guests favors, other wedding related items; and antique linens and laces. |
